[a million monkeys typing] Imagine my surprise when I learned that a local “demonstration forest” has scores of wonderful paths with plenty of placards explaining flora and fauna, as well as a very rough-hewn trail, miles long, that winds up and down through primeval and almost untouched landscape down along the side of a very large lake.

All Climbing[All Climbing] Bouldering has been a climbing activity for over 100 years and probably it all started in Fontainebleau. Since then, bleausards have been sliding off the slopy boulders trying to find increasingly problematic ways to get to the top.

Signs around Bellevue

http://seattle.metblogs.com [Metroblogging Seattle] Lewis Creek is supposedly one of "Bellevue's biggest parks" although since it's south of I-90 (and north of Cougar Mountain Park, it's rather optimistic to imply it's Bellevue's. If you go: Call the city of Bellevue ahead of time, as the trail was closed this morning, for reasons unknown.

Creepy Alien Things!

[Just Monkeying Around] We just got back from seeing “War of The Worlds”, and let me tell ya, it was CREEPY!! The special effects were outstanding, and thankfully, we saw no evidence of Scientology tents on the set, hehe.

Hiking Blue Mountain at Bake Oven Knob, Bears Rock

[theblackcloud] Once we left Bake Oven Knob we headed over to Bears Rock and Knife’s Edge, and any birder would have appreciated the view above. Hawks and vultures flew overhead while we took our time to rest.
