Thursday and Friday: Hiking out

[Ramblings and Travels] Ahh! The good photos, in my opinion at least.Thursday and Friday: Hiking out. These detail the hike up from Deer Creek, past Deer Spring (a really refreshing place to wet your whistle) with some of the climb up to Surprise Valley (ooh! look, a fossil in the rock!)

Some slightly related from Technorati and Google.

Take a closer look at a dump truck, backhoe, tractor, zamboni, even a John Deer Gator used for hauling hay, straw, even animals.

Q's Placehttp://spaces.msn.com/members/quickening [Q's Place] El Rancho: One of the reasons we were going was to take my car to our Benz Specialists up in Boerne.  One of the problems was that my car's a/c and odometer was randomly working.  So did you know that from Houston to San Antonio is 0 miles?  At least thats what my car thinks  And of course the a/c didn't work, so Joe and I spent 3 and a 1/2 hours driving to Boerne with no A/c going 70mph on the I-10 with our windows down, great stuff.  We finally get to the ranch and get to just settle down for the night.  Friday morning is when we began working, the second reason we were there.  Our first "job" was to clean all the fence near the entrance and get it ready to be painted.  That was pretty boring, but luckily isn't wasn't hot.  Nice breeze and clouds all day, pretty suprising.  Later we got the pressure washer and cleaned it all that way.  That night we took Joe all around half the ranch, which is 700 acres, so it takes a while.  He was damn lucky and got to see the Axis herd.  Its a type of deer that is foreign and have made our ranch their safe haven, which we love.    We got pictures of them and stuff, they are sweet.  Then next day we painted the fence, boring again, but at least it was both of us working, so we were being retards also.  My mom had picked up some awesome cow-boy hats for us to wear, so we got into it and became real hicks, Joe even had boots on.   After this trip, you will probably see me wearing hats and sunglasses, I know thats amazing.  After that day, we went around the other half of the ranch and checked everything out, so that was pimp.  AGain Joes was a lucky boy and got to see the ultimate Axis buck, sadly I couldn't get a picture cause he was too far away, but he is amazing, massive body and huge antlers.  I was glad we did all this, cause I got a ton of pictures of the ranch, just all the valleys, fields, creeks, and ridges and stuff.  Sunday and Monday sucked pretty much lol.  It was hot and humid and we were working around the house and trimming trees. It sucked lol, just have to keep thinking all the hours we are working and all the money that will be pouring in   Drove home today and just jammed to music and texted someone   Overall had a blast even though some of the work was hard..but now I'm le out to play my games, I've been deprived  Check out the Ranch photo album

[Niteowl.tv] Nite Owl » Blog Archive » The Animal Kingdom: Such was the case last weekend, when I found myself filled to the eyeballs with scotch and hanging out inside another crowded nightclub with plenty of does. This may be a good thing for any deer on the prowl, but it’s even a better thing for a big game hunter.
