Sporting Outdoors > Weekend Hikes in the Pacific Northwest: Big Greider Lake
[Metroblogging Seattle] My boyfriend and I had been hoping to do another hike-in camp this past weekend (similar to our Josephine Lake adventure), but since I had been sick earlier in the week we opted for a less strenuous day hike followed by car camping at a familiar campsite. Looking for a trail not too far from Seattle, we decided to climb up to Big Greider Lake, another alpine lake in the Northern Cascades.

[Seattle.metblogs.com] Metroblogging Seattle: There was: My Sweet Lord (a krishna-vegetarian trailer claiming to be from Seattle), a Euro Gyro and Crepe Tyme combined trailer, sporting a blue ribbon from Colorado between the two, a generic lemonade stand which I thought was called Sweet Cold Lemonade because that was what the signs all said, a Taste of Phillipines, a Lou-don's BBQ, a Ziegler's Bratwurst, and an Outback Jack's Roadkill Grill. To lend a little bit of authenticity to the affair, there was also a Jamba Juice trailer, and I will admit to seeing a Jamba Juice store or two, around Bellevue, but doing a yellow pages search on any of the other stores led nowhere.

[Guardian.co.uk] Guardian Unlimited | Weblog | US Vote 2004: American blogger Andrew Sullivan launches an eloquent, heartfelt attack on Mr Bush's call for a constitutional amendment banning gay marriages."Those of us who supported this president in 2000, who have backed him whole-heartedly during the war, who have endured scorn from our peers as a result, who trusted that this president was indeed a uniter rather than a divider, now know the truth", writes Sullivan. He also prints several emails from his readers who share his sense of anger.Over on another leading US weblog, the staunchly anti-Bush Follow Me Here, Eliot Gelwan responds warmly to his fellow blogger's conversion.
